On 15-17 October 2024, DynamOcean participated in the 2024 edition of the Sea Tech Week® in Brest: organised by Technopôle Brest-Iroise through Campus Mondial de la mer, a French community of experts in studying and working with the ocean, the Sea Tech Week® is an international event dedicated to marine and maritime science and technology.
We had a booth presenting our core activities i.e., ocean surveys (organizing and realizing measurement campaigns) and ocean studies (on waves, current, turbulence, sediment transport and water quality). But this event was also the perfect opportunity for us to put a spotlight on:
- Some nice projects going on, like the recent installation of a directional wave radar at Fort Boyard with our partner Maritech, with live data visualization through a dedicated dashboard
- Our new collaboration with Next Ocean, a Dutch company developing the WavePredictor. This service predicts waves and ship motions up to 3 minutes ahead of time, to reduce operational risks and maximize operational uptime in offshore environments. DynamOcean is now introducing this groundbreaking service to the French market.

If you have any questions about wave measurement or the use of radar data for wave prediction, we would love to hear from you.
